Our Fathers Single Vineyard Riesling 2023
CLARE VALLEY
This Single Vineyard Riesling is made by Giles Cooke, Master of Wine.
A crisp, tangy and dry white wine with the typical Clare Riesling character of citrus, blossom and mineral hints. Deliciously juicy on the palate with wonderful, floral citrus fruit and mouthwatering freshness. All profits to charity, now, that just has to be good news!

'Exhibiting stunning purity and finesse, the wine shows crunchy apple, green rockmelon, lime peel, and lemon sorbet nuances on the nose. The palate is pristine and linear with fabulous clarity and
flow, wonderfully structured by perfectly pitched acidity, finishing persistent and captivating.'

'The fruit for this exceptional riesling comes from a single vineyard in the southern end of Clare Valley. It is a brilliant example of this variety from this wonderful riesling region. The notes are typically citrus and lime with a little lemon zest thrown in. But then the palate comes into its own. Sure, it's typically light, but there's a deep and compelling intensity which adds a certain textural feel while retaining the fine precision that is riesling from this region. Lovely fine lingering acidity sustains a very long finish.'

'A single vineyard Clare Riesling, all of the profits from this wine go to charity.
A very pale lemon yellow hue, the nose gives us notes of florals, lemon curd, spices, pears, and a character reminiscent of fresh lemon detergent, but in the most positive way. There is a fine line of acidity, rather crunchy, with a lingering, appealing finish. Good balance throughout, this will provide pleasure over the next decade. A cracking Riesling, you can drink well and do good, at the same time.'
